1.      Recommended wedding suppliers

Planners are known for being natural networkers, they will have their every own networking group and will meet new suppliers all the time, they will have a long list of suppliers that they have worked with in the past on weddings, styled shoots etc. They can recommend to you a number of suppliers that will fit your style and who they know will work best for you. You won’t have to worry about scrolling through websites and social media, trying to find the best suppliers because they can help you with this aspect, which is known for being very time consuming. Make sure that the suppliers you choose are the right ones for you, as you will be spending a lot of time together!

2.      Take it one step at a time

There is no need to rush, plan out your wedding planning schedule and choose the time of year that you would like to be getting married e.g. Saturday June 2022.  Make sure you follow guides of what to do first, as you don’t want to hire a photographer before you’ve confirmed your venue and date - just in case they aren’t available!

3.      Be realistic

Allocate time to planning your wedding, don’t forget that it will take up a lot of time and effort, so don’t leave your suppliers to the last minute because they are likely to get booked up in advance. You need at least 12 months to plan.

4.      Communication = Key!

Communicate with all of your suppliers, with the style you are going for, send them mood boards and your vision, this will ensure that they are all on the same page and you won’t have 12 different shades of pink, that would be a disaster. Make sure you truly describe the colours that you want, go into as much detail as possible.

5.      Lighten your list

Have you got a long list of guests and feel you might need to trim it down, then you need to ask yourself some questions, such as: When did you last speak to them? Are they immediate family? Would they invite you to their wedding? Remember weddings are about spending time with your loved ones, so make it special.
